Perfect Rendition is a non-commercial fan project made for fun by three school friends who love music and games. All audio clips are original vocal jazz trumpet impressions — no instruments, samples or copyrighted recordings are used. Song titles and artist names are referenced for identification purposes only and remain the property of their respective rights holders. If you have concerns about any content, please contact us.
About
Perfect Rendition started as a running joke between three school friends. One of us began sending voice notes — jazz trumpet impressions of famous songs, performed entirely with his mouth. The other two competed to guess the song and artist. It became a daily obsession that lasted two years. It strengthened our 30-year friendship when life was busy and we seldom saw each other in person. Oh yeah, and the trumpeter is deaf in one ear, and quite possibly tone deaf in the one that still works. Despite this, the renditions were always PERFECT.
How to play
Each day there's a new jazz trumpet impression of a well-known song. You have three guesses to name the artist and the song title.
After each guess, you'll see green for correct and red for wrong. If you get one right, it locks in and you just need to crack the other. Get both right and you'll receive the hallowed title of JAZZBUSTERS, which is a reference to the 80s quiz show Blockbusters that you have probably never heard of.
Need help? Hit the Hint button for a cryptic clue about the artist and song.
